Here’s the song that I wrote and performed for my sister Cecilie and now her husband Rasmus at their wedding in April 2009.
The Lyrics:
I do, do do, do you
Do too, I do, do you?
Remember the times when you and I were smaller
Sitting on the stairs eating Kellogs
and you were missing a tooth or two
with me beside you with my toygun in hand
protecting you from the world
Mellemspil
I can see in your eyes that love and dreams do come true
and all you need is believing
And the man I know that can he’s holding you hand and he’s your one
and together you’ll make the world yours
I do…
These were the words that you declared in church today
with God and family as your witnesss
And you were smiling a smile of life -- now husband and wife
together in love -- ready to conquer the world
I do, do do, do you
Do too, I do, do you?
Remember the times when you and I were smaller
Sitting on the stairs eating Kellogs
and you were missing a tooth or two
with me beside you with my toygun in hand
protecting you from the world
I can see in your eyes that love and dreams do come true
and all you need is believing
And the man I know that can he’s holding you hand and he’s your one
and together you’ll make the world yours
I do…
These were the words that you declared in church today
with God and family as your witnesss
And you were smiling a smile of life -- now husband and wife
together in love -- ready to conquer the world
